Business Class©

Short-Haul. High Impact. Real Connection.

Please note: This will take you to the external secure EventBrite booking page.

Business Class© is a 2-hour experience for professional teams, community groups and random strangers*, set aboard a “mock” airplane flight. Ready for takeoff? Offset your emissions! Reserve your seat today.

Using the airplane as metaphor for our society - with crammed rows in economy, and luxurious champagne in first - passengers take part in a facilitated dialogue experience that moves from the departure lounge and seat allocation, to onboard drinks service and landing.

The flight offers a rare and playful opportunity to examine our own assumptions and behaviours, as well as the broader norms that shape our community and workplace, with strangers, colleagues and neighbours alike.

Participants can expect small-group discussion, storytelling and individual reflection, and will disembark with renewed connections, fresh perspectives, deeper empathy, and a stronger sense of action toward building a better world to come. No performing or acting is required and passengers are invited to share as much or as little as they would like.

Our Captain Schutt has worked in over 20 countries and six continents, and is Senior Advisor to the British Council's Venice Art Biennale Fellowships Programme, and a former Fellow and MBA course director at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. She has been described as "brilliant," "a ray of sunshine" and "an incredible facilitator - her warmth made me feel immediately at ease."

Past participants and frequent flyers share their experiences on our testimonial page and below - simply summed up by one as "The flight we all need to take to find our common future."

*Chartered flights for boards, teams and conferences are tailored to the company's strategic moment, organizational culture and communication challenges. The facilitated experience builds upon pre-flight individual consultation with team members to ensure we travel far and fast. Flights for the public draw upon the ideas, experiences and issues that the community brings into the cabin - Each flight is therefore different dependent on the passengers on board.

“in the shadow of overwhelming challenges, Business Class offers more than comfort -  it’s a place to (re)connect with ‘the other’ and let hope grow."

NAOMI SAGE, EXEC DIRECTOR, JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER HARLEM, NYC

SUSIE BUCKRIDGE, CEO, TALKTALK

Wow, consider me mesmerized by Captain Schutt’s response, intuition, and creativity. Really just shaking my head at where boarding flights with strangers can take you…”

COUNCILMAN LEIGHTON NEWLIN, PRINCETON

"What a dynamic way to get to know your colleagues and some of the most pressing issues underlying our society and workplaces.

Through a mix of theatre (comic), performance art, play, dialogue and social reckoning, Business Class flight attendants make it easy for you to do the hard work.

LAURA BEILES COPPOLA. DEPARTMENT CHAIR. POLY PREP COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL. BROOKLYN

Business Class is simply genuis."

MATT PEACOCK, OBE, DIRECTOR, ARTS&HOMELESSNESS INTL

Business Class was life-changing"

ARKA MUKHERJEE, CEO, GLOBAL IDS

Business Class is a great experience to get out of our own little window seat view. When you are challenged and invited to a new reality suddenly many world views and truths can become different and be refreshed.

FERNANDA REBELATO, UN WOMEN

"I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. People are flying in and out of the country daily and a lot of times we don’t get to stop and sit and really understand the daily actions and class systems that have become normalized. We are creating distance between ourselves and others...

We are in this world together and we need to figure out this world together.”
